Scary looking enormous scaffolding ramp and ramparts went in over the weekend - sorry neighbours :( This should help to more easily bring materials on site to where the rear extension is. The other option would be way more laborious. Assuming the main scaffolding will be done at a later date. Still not quite sure how they’re getting a mini digger down there.…


More demolition and tearing things apart during a very cold first week in January. Not sure I’d like to be working outside in sub zero temps. One of the chimneys is making it’s way downwards.


Lower down the house, there’s been a start in the undercroft, laying some simple foundations ready to build new blockwork walls. This will allow the existing ground floor wall between the dining room and kitchen to be removed.  The gas meter needs to be removed and pipe capped off as it currently sits where the stairwell leading to the extension will be.


The garden has begun it’s journey to becoming a full on quagmire of biblical proportions.
